Horticulture I & II
These courses are designed for students interested in plants and how they interact with people. Horticulture I focuses on plant anatomy and function as well as careers in the horticulture industry. Horticulture II focuses on landscaping and greenhouse production.  Hands-on activities are emphasized and project based learning is utilized. 
 
Animal Science I & II
The purpose of these classes is to give a better insight to agricultural animal species and their uses. Animal Science I focuses on breeds, anatomy, and uses of major agricultural species. Animal Science II continues on with discussion of small animal and companion animal breeds as well as nutrition and diseases. 
 
Welding I & II
Introduction to welding theory is the main focus of Welding I giving students the opportunity to gain skills in an trade are that is very much in demand.  Students will learn basic skills in MIG, GMAW, and SMAW welding with hands-on laboratory.  Welding II is a project based class where students can bring in or create their own metal projects. 
 
Ag Mechanics and Ag Machinery
This is a project based course that emphasizes time management and work ethic while learning new skills.  Students bring in their own projects, usually antique tractors to restore, and spend time learning how to complete their project on a deadline.  Admittance to the course is based on instructor approval of project. 
 
Precision Agriculture
This new course looks into the ever changing area of precision agriculture.  The study of GPS/GIS will be a main focus as well as how it has bettered the agricultural field. 
 
DMACC Career Development Skills and Occupational Experience
Skills related to finding and acquiring a career will be developed as well as getting on the job training through and internship experience. 
 
Middle School Exploring Ag 
Study of focus will be on the importance of Agriculture to Iowa and the United States and how it impacts our daily life.  FFA will also be explored.
