Welcome to my page! I am a 7th year teacher, 3rd here at Panorama, teaching Food Science, Horticulture, and Career Development! I am also one of two FFA Advisors.  I am an Alumni of Iowa State University earning my B.S. in Horticulture in 2006 and my M.S. in Agricultural Education and Studies in 2010.  Most of our activities can be found on our FFA Twitter account or on our FFA Facebook page!  Search Panorama FFA for both.

Areas of Focus

Food Science:

My goal is to encourage students to gain an awareness of the vocational and professional opportunities in the field of food science and technology, marketing and management occupations, and generally where their food comes from focusing on "farm to plate". We also focus on local, national, and global issues relating to food science.

Horticulture:

I hope to pass on the knowledge of garden crops and unique ways to produce your own food such as hydroponics and aquaponics. Much of our time will be spent in the greenhouse getting our hands dirty.

Career Development:

My goal is to prepare students for careers after their time here as well as developing and exploring career possibilities.  Study includes all the skills needed to find, acquire, and succeed in a career.
