As we head into winter weather season, we want to make sure every family clearly understands how we make decisions about school delays, cancellations, or early dismissals when conditions are questionable.
Panorama Winter Weather Procedures
Every weather event is unique, and Panorama covers a large geographic area with many miles of rural roads. What may be manageable in town can be very different just a few miles out. We do everything possible to make the safest and most reasonable call with the information available at the time.
Announcement methods (we use ALL of these – every time):
Panorama Panthers mobile app (push notification)
Infinite Campus parent portal message & text alert (if you’ve opted in)
Facebook & Instagram
WHO Channel 13 and KCCI Channel 8
