Please remember to clean out your locker before the winter break, and turn in any library books you are finished reading.  Thank you!

 

There are items on the table in the lunchroom outside the student success center.  If they belong to you please claim them.  If you do not they will be donated to charity during winter break.  Thanks!

 

FCA Christmas Party - Wednesday, Dec. 13 @ 6:30 PM at Lighthouse Assembly of God.

 

Middle School & High School Student Council Meeting: Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 2:30PM in the auditorium.

 

NHS

NHS Christmas Party and Meeting December 14th in the old library at 7:30am.  Bring supplies to make cards for the nursing homes in Panora and a treat to share.  There will be a special guest who is bringing special treats.

 

SENIORS

The Jostens representative will be here Friday, December 15th, at 10:45 a.m. in the Auditorium to go over caps & gowns. He will return on Wednesday, December 20th, to take orders over lunch time. 

 

Next Week will have our "Count Down to Winter Break"!

Monday, Dec. 18 - Channel Your Flannel

Tuesday, Dec. 19 - Pajama Day

Wednesday, Dec. 20 - Winter Wonderland

Thursday, Dec. 21 - Christmas Movie Marathon Day (dress as your favorite Christmas Movie Character)

Friday, Dec. 22 - Sweater Weather (Holiday/Ugly sweater day)

 

Elf on the Shelf:  Mr. Stanley will continue to hide the Elf.  If you find it, take it to the office to claim your prize.

 

LOCKER DECORATING CONTEST: Get creative & decorate your locker in a Winter Wonderland Theme!  Remember no glue, or tape or stickies that will leave a residue.  Have your locker complete by NEXT TUESDAY, Dec. 19!!

 

Sign up for TATU

Teens Against Tobacco Use or TATU, is a peer education program in which high school students teach about the hazards of tobacco use to 5th grade students.  The presentation consists of six, 45 minute sessions. You will do one session a week. We will start presentations after winter break. Dates and time have not been finalized.

Students from each grade 9th-12th are needed for TATU.  Just FYI, your school work comes first so if you are on the D/F list you should be in class.  

Please sign up in the office by Wednesday, December 20th. A sign up sheet is in the office.

 

SENIORS please get your senior spotlight filled out ASAP and send in your senior pictures and baby pictures to Mrs. Gafkjen ASAP. Thank you!

 

2023-2024 Yearbooks are on sale now and can be ordered through the Josten's website: www.jostensyearbooks.com. The price is currently $55/book and will go up on February 10th to $60. 

 

NHS PJ Drive and Bake Sale December 19th at the home basketball game.  Come dressed in your PJs and bring PJs for 3C's.  The PJ sizes needed the most are girls size 2,3,8,10,12,14-16 and boys sizes 10, 12, 14-16. PJs can be dropped off in the office at the high school December 11-19th.

 

SPORTS PICTURES

The following students need to pay for their sports pictures in the office:  Collin Lestina, & Carter Clipperton.  Checks can be made to Ketelsen Photography.
