2023 Veteran’s Day Program presented by Panorama High School Student Council.
"We ask that you use this time to reflect and honor ALL those who have served and who are currently serving in our Armed Forces. There are more than 22 million Veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces. It is quite likely that one of your parents, grandparents, siblings, or neighbors are a Veteran or is currently serving. These heroes helped shape America and our lives."
Guest Speaker: Director of DMACC at Perry VanKirk Career Academy, Eddie Diaz. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Iowa State university and two Master’s Degrees in education from Drake University. Prior to obtaining his Bachelor’s degree, Eddie enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving 6 years and one tour of duty in Operation Iraqi freedom as an infantry team leader with 2nd battalion 24th Marine Corps Battalion. "Thank you everyone for your attention today. A special thank you to Tim Ashworth for his commitment to this event. The student council would also like to thank all our veterans for all our freedoms. With November being National Veterans and Military Families Month, we encourage everyone to check the Veteran Affairs calendar or our local community calendar for ways to honor our Veterans and Military families all year long. Let’s give one more round of applause to all Veterans and their families!"
