Mrs. Carla Church » K-12 Tag Teacher

K-12 Tag Teacher

My name is Carla Church and I am a new teacher to the district.  I have taught 6th grade in Fairfield, Iowa and 5th grade in Diagonal, Iowa.  I have also been a substitute teacher in Wisconsin and other Iowa school districts.  My husband is retiring from the Army and we are looking forward to making Panora our home.  We have lived in Maryland, Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Wyoming.  We have three children with our youngest, Abigail being a junior at Panorama Community Schools.  She loves art and music.  Our eldest, Abraham, is a senior at Cedarville University studying computer engineering.  Our middle child is Anna and she is a sophomore studying nursing at Cedarville University in Ohio as well.

I grew up in Johnston, Iowa.  I received my BA in International Business and French from Simpson College and my MAE in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa.  I can't wait to get involved with the kids at Panorama Community Schools and help nurture their innate abilities and strengths.  Along with motivating kids to think outside of the box to solve problems and become critical thinkers.

I have included a great link for parents of TAG students in my links section.  Check it out !

Make it a great day!
