I am in my 16th year of teaching secondary mathematics, 10th at Panorama.  I have also taught at West Marshall High School and Creston High School.  At Panorama, I teach Pre-Algebra, Probability and Statistics, Project Lead the Way (PLTW): Introduction to Engineering, and DMACC Applied Math I & II.  I have been a member of the Teacher Leader Team for 9 years where I provide teacher strategy mentoring and STEM leadership. I graduated high school from Nodaway Valley. I then attended Southwestern Community College in Creston where I played softball and obtained an Associate of Arts Degree.  From there, I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Mathematics at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake. I received my graduate degree from the University of Iowa with a Master in Education Teaching and Learning (STEM Education). I was honored with the 2018 Air Force Association General Charles Horner and State of Iowa Air Force Association Teacher of the Year.  My goal is to prepare students for their futures by providing them with STEM-enriched learning opportunities that transcend beyond the classroom.
