Each parent or guardian has the right to review the Panorama Community School's Human Growth and Development goals, objectives and materials. A child can be excused from a particular class period where parents object to materials being infused into the curriculum. The child will incur no penalty but shall be required to complete an alternative assignment that relates to the class and is consistent with assignments required of all students in the class.
A student shall not be required to enroll in physical education or health courses or required to participate in human growth and development issues that are infused throughout the curriculum. The student’s parent or guardian must file a written statement with the building principal stating that the curriculum taught in physical education, health or human growth and development conflicts with the student’s religious beliefs.
