Meet Mrs. Behrends

I have been a teacher at Panorama since 1994. I have taught reading and 3rd grade while I have been here at Panorama. 

I grew up in Sidney, Iowa - Rodeo Town USA is our claim to fame.  Love my small town roots! I graduated from Iowa State in elementary education in 1990, and then I earned my master's degree from the University of Northern Iowa in language arts and reading in 1996.

My husband Dale and I have three children. Our oldest daughter, Brinnae, is a P.A. student at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri,   Austin is a junior at Iowa State majoring in civil engineering , and  our youngest daughter, Brooklyn, is a freshman at the University of Missouri majoring in business and marketing. 

I love teaching third graders and the energy and curiosity that they bring everyday.  I try and be a calm and positive role model in their lives while still making sure we have some fun in our day. My favorite things to do are being with my family, running, and traveling.
